Today was both bad and good

The day started out with me feeling just like someone suffering from milk poisoning. Last night, I went on a bit of a cookie binge, not horrible but definite and this morning, having no water, I could not do the oil pulling or the acv water.

The insurance would not cover the water heater, because the electric was disconnected from it; which was done to prevent any deaths from electrocution. Silly us!

Dad ended up buying a gas water heater and we paid a plumber to do it under the table. So, now, finally, I have hot water in this house. Good news for anyone who might have smelled me, before!

Once we got to turn the water on, I made the acv water with the usual 4 tsps and I ended up drinking two bottles. Well, almost two. One, I am still working on, but, it's almost gone.

By the way, thank you, Jehovah, for the water heater. Yes, people, I said that. Yes, I believe it. I prayed to Jehovah for help in please, please having a working water heater and now I have one. I spent months with my parental units being aware of me not having one, and it just so happens that, today, after making a heartfelt prayer in that regards, my father decides to buy one. Think about it!

Anyway ...

Today was a "gain all the weight back" day, probably, but, I'm not feeling guilty. For dinner, I had a big bowl of that leftover stuffies which I made and ate much less of last night. By the time it was finished being microwaved to almost-warm all the way through, and hot in places, the carrots were at the consistency I probably should have cooked them to in the first place. I tend to make things al dente.

There are no issues, for me, with raw veggies, so if they don't get cooked all the way, I mostly don't mind. Potatoes and onions are a bit of an exception, though. They can both feel icky to the teeth and hard to chew, if not cooked. Have eaten both raw, though, so only a bit of an exception.

Had several cookies today. For breakfast, in fact, I had cookies, a glass of almond milk and an apple. By the way, same nasty apple type as before, but, this one was better. The other one was not ripe, methinks. So, back to never having met an apple (type) that I didn't like, though, I do not necessarily love them all.

For lunch, Dad took me to Pappy's Diner, where, for wonder of wonders, neither of us ordered a hamburger. Instead, we ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast, that has sausage gravy over the steak; two eggs; grits with way too much butter or butter substitute, and rye bread. Had it with a diet drink and a slice of lemon, me.

It was very good, by the way. Pappy's Diner usually is. Usually we get hamburgers, though. Oh my, their hamburgers! They are not consistent, so if you are looking for assembly line cooking, you will not find it there. If you don't mind surprises and like food with actual taste, this might be the place for you.

Anyway, lots of sweet, lots of fat, today. Though, today is also the day I decided my next move. I bagged up the cheese, steak and cheese burritos, cake mix, brownie mix, and giant bag of pancake mix and gave them to the neighbors. Also, all the chocolate and vanilla cookies. Not the pop tarts or lemon cookies, though.

Most of that was stuff that was here because it was for my son. Don't know if he will be back or no, but, he is no longer living here and I need to live a life wherein I have the food I want and need to eat available.  Oh yes, I kept the corn dogs, too. I'm not a fanatic.

My goal, now, is to do my best to eat less meat and grains and more vegetables and fruit, and to clear away those things which prevent me from effectively living this way. Hence giving that food to the neighbors. I do still have some boxes of cereal, too, though and a giant box of rice, which should last me approximately forever, as soon as I open it.

That is not my big change for the week, though. Not sure if I am going to have a big change for the week. Or, I should say, I will have a big change for the week, but, I'm not sure it will be at all related to food. For, now that I have hot water, and now that I have a huge pile of wet towels and clothes and such from where the water was leaking all over the floor, I have much housework to do.

Dishes to wash, floors to scrub, clothes to wash, etc. That's my main target, this week. It'll definitely be exercise, though!
