There is a kitty, who has come over before. Last night, he demanded to come in and then he demanded to be fed. This morning, he came back, and helped pare down my sandwich meat to what is a more moderate amount to use, through begging and consuming it.
For breakfast, I am having a sandwich made of really good whole-grain bread, a bit of mayo, a bit of horseradish, some pastrami and roast beef, and some slices of cucumber, with wee cherry sort of tomatoes on the side. Also, of course, acv water, 4 tsps.I will also continue drinking the diet drink I bought last night, throughout the day.
When I woke up this morning, God helped me to remember to do the oil pulling. Yes, I mean exactly that, because I prayed to him about it last night and I usually do forget it or even if I remember, I put it off. Today, I felt an extra push to remember and to follow through and it is that extra push, which I could have ignored but did not, which came from God. Hence why people say "God helps those who help themselves." , because, he gave me the extra push and that was the help, but, it would not have been helpful, unless I accepted it and followed through.
Anyway ... I did the oil pulling last night, with olive oil and this morning with safflower oil. I shall give better instruction, later, in case you want to try it, but, the basics are that you put some oil in your mouth, swish it around for a while, so that it gathers up bacteria, and then you spit it out and brush your teeth. It's one of those things that sounds like hokey b.s., but, it wasn't going to do any damage, so I tried it, and it works to help get over illnesses, so I presume it also helps to prevent them, as it has been claimed.
When I tried it, like with the previously mentioned Ayurvedic recipe, it was out of desperation. I had a really bad toothache, which was from an abscess. Bad, bad news. It had started out as an ear infection, from people smoking at me, and worked its way down into my gum. The oil pulling helped stop the pain of it, and, that worked for a good long time, when it would flare up, but, I kept forgetting to do it and eventually, it got worse again, to the point where it was definitely the tooth that was the problem, and the oil pulling could make it feel better, but, not better enough.
I think, if I had kept it up more regularly, I could have prevented the loss of the tooth. Of course, if I could have afforded real dentistry, instead of the brutal tooth pulling that is allowed by government insurance I also could have prevented the loss of the tooth. Alas, neither thing happened!
How long has it been since I started drinking acv water regularly? Let's check! .... hum hold music for about 30 seconds, please ...
Okay, the blog post that says it is the first day was made on December 30th. That means tomorrow, it will have been a full week of it. Now, I am not limiting myself to only making so many changes per so often, but, I think adding a new thing to enhance my life, per week, until I feel pretty healthy, happy and like I'm on a schedule and into routines that I can maintain without too much cost or fuss is about right.
So, now, it is up to me, with hope toward Jehovah God for that extra push, to remember to do oil pulling, once a day, every day.
Many people I have talked to about oil pulling do not want to do it, because, it sounds so time intensive. However, this morning, as I was doing the oil pulling, I made my acv water, started the computer and read three chapters from the book of Genesis. So, it is not like other things cannot be done, at the same time!
I think I am stuck with the kitty. It is sleeping on my feet, right now. I call him Sparkles the Fifth and my son calls him Oliver Twist.
When we were at the dog park, me and my sister, the name Sparkles the Fifth sort of popped into my head as we were discussing what names we'd give to the various dogs there. However, I told her I wanted it to be for a very big dog or someone rather imposing.
Last night, the kitty was basically demanding to stay ,and I was arguing the point, while keeping a somewhat open and hopeful mind, by asking it "Look, kitty: is your name Sparkles the Fifth." because, if it said no, I was going to tell it that this was Sparkles the Fifth's residence and it would have to leave. It did not say no. It distinctly purred yes, as my son, who had been petting it, noted. It was not purring at the petting before I asked it that.
My son informs me that he calls the kitty Oliver Twist, as I guessed was the case, because he always wants some more. We give him some salmon and he wants some more. Or, he wants our sandwich. Or, he wants some petting and cuddling and then some more.
Right. I'm off to eat my sandwich now.

Had pizza for dinner. This means pain from cheese, but, I really do love pizza and it's been so long since I had it. Will try to remember to eat pineapple for breakfast. It may help.
Had just a little bit of exercise, tonight, while taking my sister's dogs out. Marching in place type stuff. Managed to really get my gluteous maximus working well during it and my abdominals, as well.
