It feels like I have a wee bit more of a waistline than I had last week. Part of me wants to check and part of me is afraid of the disappointment, if it turns out not to be true. Anyway, I shall check soon, as I want to go back to GNC and do the $1 weight / bmi / body fat percentage measurements and I will measure my waist and such around the same time.
This morning, I am having some leftover canned salmon with mayonnaise and saltines, plus a golden apple, for breakfast. Not to mention a portion of a 42-oz bottle of water with 4 tsps of apple cider vinegar added.
Last night, I did another wee bout of marching in place. For dinner, I had a shrimp cup of noodle with salmon added. Aside from that, at some points throughout the day, I ate wee tiny bits of some probiotic snack mix combined with "Aloha Mix' from the 99 Cent Only store. They were both tasty. And, I had several saltines, throughout the day.
In other words, definitely not a low carb day, nor a high protein day or a only vegetable day, or even an avoiding all processed foods day. It was just a day.
Do you feel like shouting "Ahah!" about the probiotic mix? Is that me sneaking in stuffies that you could never get? Pffft .. it is so not! Why? Because, for one thing, I bought it with food stamps, so if you are around a Sunflower Market store, you can get it. For another thing, it was yogurt coated thingies combined with nuts, raisins and seeds. Yogurt coated thingies are not that hard to find, and nuts, dried fruit and seeds even less so.
So, sure, maybe, if you are reading this in prison, or you are living in a very rural area and never go near a moderate sized supermarket to go shopping, you will not be able to get it. So what? Find something that you can get, which you do like and which is good for you.
I'm not telling you that you have to eat probiotic trail mix, but, I am telling you that I ate a little bit of it and enjoyed it, so if you get a chance, you might want to try it out.
These first two weeks, by the way, are a staging ground. I'm seeing how the acv water suits me - and it does suit me - and showing what effect making even a small and inexpensive change, or two, in your life can have.
There are things I need to do for me, though, and I can do them better if I am not limiting myself to one change a week if I feel up to doing more, and, I certainly need to commit to more purposeful action to get them done.
It goes back to what I was talking about, earlier, as to how it is good to have goals, work out the steps and then take the steps, even if all you can take is baby steps. I have taken two baby steps, that are benefiting me. And, now, feeling a bit better, I believe it is time to let go of the couch and take a few more, onto the dance floor.
