I have not been keeping track of things, but, I have still been drinking some acv water, most days, and I am in the midst of reading the Dr. Berger's Immune Power Cookbook, for some good tips on how to organize my own personal plan.
Of course, this book is not about losing weight, persay, but, about being healthier and eliminating foods that cause bad reactions. It's a good book and I'm sure it is a worthy plan he has, but, it does not suit my lifestyle.
I have very little money, a complete inability to use any sort of animal milk that I know of, and no one to help me but many people who would be glad to hinder me by bringing me cheese, sugar, and large quantities of meat - as has already been prove, several times, since I first started making a sincere effort to change my life.
Now, I mentioned to you, before, that I had read somewhere, in a book about relieving one's allergies, that one should try not to repeat a food more than three days in a row. In this book, at least in the Elimination Diet phase, it says never to repeat a food more than every four days, but, that you can use different varieties of things. IE: Iceberg lettuce on Monday, Bibb lettuce on Tuesday, Romaine lettuce on Wednesday; but, that if you mix lettuces, then you must avoid all types that you used for four days afterward.
In the case of pasta, however, it will not do - so no being sneaky- saying spaghetti noodles on Monday, Lasagna noodles on Tuesday, etc. Why? It is because they are all made with the same basic ingredients. Rather, if one were eating wheat, one could have spaghetti and lasagna on the same day, then avoid the wheat, tomato, beef, and whatever else they were made of, the following three days.
But, one has to be careful, as, of course, cous cous is wheat and bread has wheat, so if one is eating sandwiches every day, one needs to make bread with no wheat, or do things like make a lettuce roll one day, a cabbage roll the next day (using the leaves in place of bread), a corn tortilla the next day, a spinach roll the next day, then one can go back to wheat bread.
There are definitely some very good points to consider and I am considering them, but, I will not be able to fully implement the diet plan in this book, due to cost and convenience factors. It would be good for me health wise, but, it would be so hard to start with that I would give up. The only way I could do this is if I was locked in a room and people brought me only the things I was allowed to eat, for the first week, at least. Or, maybe in a spa setting where they simply had nothing else to get into. Which, is more or less the same thing as being locked in one's room, except more expensive.
I can use this diet plan as a base, though, for making sure things are properly rotated, maybe, and then adding other stuff in for flavor and interest. Maybe! We shall see!
