This is supposed to work very well, according to the magazine I read it in:

Take these three supplements before breakfast, lunch and diner:
Alpha lipoic acid  100- 300 mg
Green Tea flavonols  325 mg
Garlic extract  200 mg

Take these supplements before bed:
Policosanol  20- 25 mg
Alpha lipoic acid 100 -200 mg
Garlic extract  200 mg

To prevent plateus, take one day off from supplements every week, and one week off every two months.
