Progress report

Well, over the last few days, I've been doing more work around the house. It's like very intense Spring cleaning, except with things getting dirtier and it being summertime. lol

They do Brush and Bulky Clean Up twice a year. We are removing things from the yard and the house, in preparation for the upcoming day. We've got about a month. There's a lot of bushes to trim, weeds to pull, old furniture to dismantle and remove from the yard, etc.
I still managed to do two 10-minute sessions, one being a real walk and the other being indoors, yesterday, and several partials of a minute or more.

I stepped on our bathroom scale, and it looks like I lost weight. I still can't read the exact number, but, it was between 270 lbs. and 260 lbs. That was before I drank two beers, though!  So, we'll see.

Today, I only did one 10 minute session, so far, indoors; and I moved a wee bit of furniture.  I did not drink my salt water. This is a result of staying up until around 5 am, doing my work that I actually get paid for, then waking up just in time to greet the fellow who comes over for my son's Bible study, and then going right into the furniture moving. All thoughts of salt water were knocked out of my head, until about 15 minutes, ago.

Part of the issue is that it is so very hot and muggy around here and I cannot afford to run an air conditioner. All we have is a portable, that would only work for one part of the house, anyway; but, I can't afford to use it. It makes staying on top of exercise terribly hard. Once it gets cooler, I might go outside and do some steps on (and off) the porch, or something like that.

Another issue is that I find I need a balance between not exercising so much at once that it destroys my tendons, and not exercising so little that it doesn't feel worth it to put my new tenny runners on. To put them on just to walk to Walgreen's and back seems a bit silly. It would also be annoying to do it three times a day!

Also, I have found that I am getting more and more into exercise videos on YouTube, especially the ones related to dance, and I would love to use those - but,  ...

Grrr! I just had one of those glitch things happen. I wrote some inspirational stuff about excuses. At least, it was inspirational to me, but, then, it all suddenly became highlighted and deleted. (sigh)

Basically, I was giving you my list of things I'm up against and telling you that I know it may sound like excuses, but, it's not. These are just obstacles I am working through. I do not HAVE to workout, get in shape, lose weight, or get healthier. I DESIRE to. Since I don't have to, there is no one to make excuses to. There is only me, working my way through, learning as I go.

If it helps you to read about it, then, great. In the end, though, it's still me doing my thing and you choosing to do your thing.
